If you have the roof space to accommodate a larger system why limit yourself to 4 kW? Most installers will not look any further than a 4kW systems because of the complexities involved. For us this is not a problem, we regularly install system over 4 kW in size on domestic single phase supplies, even 10 kW + if you have the space. The increase in size from a 4 kW system to say a 5 kW will increase your power output by 25% but because a lot of the cost of the system is in the inverter, scaffolding and installation, the increase in cost to 5 kW is around 15% giving a much faster return on your investment, the bigger the system the faster the return. The panels don’t all have to be on the same roof plain, using our fully optimised system we can install the panels on multiple roofs facing in different directions to maximise the sun's energy through the day.
